This is to me the most nerve-wracking point of writing a book. Right now, my editor is the first person other than me to read the new story. I'm terrified that I'm going to hear back that it's awful, or that it doesn't make any sense, or any other number of things....

Well, 43 days and 58,000 words later, and the first draft is done. Hooray! This is only the first part, though. Next I edit the book, fix inconsistencies, flesh out scenes that need it, ensure there's a continuity, and try to ensure that the book is fun to read....
